DTV Update: The Digital Transition deadline has been extended to June 12, 2009. This is the day analog television broadcasts will cease to exist and be completely replaced by digital broadcasts. If you don’t have the proper set-up, you will not be able to receive television signals to your television set.

If you currently receive free TV, otherwise known as over-the-air broadcasts, you're going to have to make some adjustments. You will either need to replace your current analog TV with a TV set that has a built-in ATSC (digital) tuner, or get a converter box to change the digital signal into analog.Your analog TV will not display these digital signals without the aid of a separate receiver or set-top box to convert the signals.
